Apr 10, 2026

PASCO COUNTY, Fla.— Today, Senator Ashley Moody teamed up with sexual assault survivor Lauren Book for “Walk in My Shoes”—a statewide initiative to raise awareness about childhood sexual abuse. April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Every year, Lauren’s Kids marks the occasions with a walk across Florida. Today, the group walked through Pasco County.

“I am so proud to join Lauren Book at the ‘Walk in My Shoes’ trek across Florida to raise awareness and help prevent childhood sexual abuse. I encourage each and every Floridian to come out and walk – even if it’s just for a block, and help support this great cause,” said Senator Ashley Moody
