Senator Moody Joins Senate Task Force to Expose Fraud and Recover Taxpayer Dollars

TAMPA, Fla.—Senator Ashley Moody joined the newly established Senate Anti-Fraud Task Force, an oversight effort focused on identifying fraud against the federal government, exposing systemic vulnerabilities, recovering taxpayer dollars, and advancing reforms that strengthen accountability.

“As Florida’s Attorney General, I recovered millions of dollars for taxpayers. As your newest United States Senator, I will keep fighting to protect every taxpayer dollar. It is a slap in the face to hard working Americans every time we uncover another case of fraudsters benefiting off the backs of taxpayers. I am committed to working alongside my colleagues to expose fraud, strengthen accountability, and deliver meaningful solutions,” said Senator Ashley Moody.

  • Senator Moody has always been committed to combating fraud and protecting taxpayer dollars. Just in the last week, Senator Moody:
  • Members of the Senate Anti-Fraud Task Force include Senators Moody, Schmitt, Marshall, Britt, Ricketts, Blackburn, Sheehy, Johnson, and Tuberville.
  • Specifically, the Senate Anti-Fraud Task Force would:
    • Hold monthly Task Force calls to discuss ongoing investigations, review findings, coordinate oversight efforts, and identify new areas for inquiry;
    • Conduct congressional oversight and investigations;
    • Pursue recovery of improperly spent or misallocated taxpayer funds; and
    • Develop legislative and administrative reforms to reduce fraud, waste, and abuse.
