WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, ahead of Hurricane Season beginning June 1st, Senator Ashley Moody shared resources for Floridians to get prepared. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is predicting an above normal 2025 Atlantic hurricane season, and forecasting a range of 13 to 19 total named storms, with six to 10 of those becoming hurricanes. For more information on getting prepared this Hurricane Season, Senator Moody is urging Floridians to visit: https://www.floridadisaster.org/planprepare/.

Senator Ashley Moody said, “As we begin this hurricane season, my message to Floridians is: get prepared TODAY. As Florida’s Attorney General, I heard so many heartbreaking stories and witnessed the devastating destruction to homes and businesses across the state. Florida has some of the best emergency management response in the country, but it is so important to remember that while our state and local officials are working around the clock, the first line of defense to your home, your business and your family is preparedness. Make sure that you have the necessary supplies, get a plan in place, and listen to local guidance. Stay safe Florida.”
