The Homes for Every Local Protector, Educator, and Responder (HELPER) Act would establish a program to provide mortgage assistance to law enforcement officers, firefighters, and other first responders. WASHINGTON, D.C. — Florida’s U.S. Senators Ashley Moody and Rick Scott announced the Miccosukee Reserved Area Amendments Act designating the Osceola Camp in Everglades National Park as a part of the Miccosukee Reservation. The legislation will help optimize water flow into Everglades National Park while taking steps to protect the Osceola Camp against flooding risks.
